Extremely well mood.
Extremely well-made. Obviously useful and surgery but is a great quality tool if you need to grip something safely while keeping yourself safe such as changing a scalpel blade. Obviously it has used as a suturing tool for medical purposes.

A tinge rough action but works!
The action is slightly rougher than the “real” ones I use at work, and you occasionally have apply a slight squeezing action so they actually lock instead of popping out. Once it’s actually locked in, however, it hasn’t popped out on its own even once. So that’s an A plus in my book for the price and the suture practice I can have with it.

I bought these for hobby use at home but they seem to be well made and would not be out of place in clinical use.

Good for mending
I used this and a curved needle to sew patches on my husband's blue jeans. Worked very well and the needle doesn't swivel due to the diamond jaw pattern.

Amazing quality!
I am a board-certified general surgeon with 20-years of experience and I'm often asked by medical students about instruments they should purchase to practice suturing on. This needle-driver is the real deal. It is probably a $200 driver for about $15.00. What's the catch? I can't find one. I have NOT found a suture-practicing kit on Amazon that has any worthy instruments. Most instruments in kits are cheap, "spring open", or are incredibly stiff. Not with this needle driver. I purchased two. Perhaps the reason they are less expensive than those from other manufacturers is they're intended for veterinary use--but trust me, these are the same high-quality needle drivers used in human operating rooms. Best needle-driver. Period. Especially for the money! IF you are a medical student, and you're looking for a quality needle-driver to practice your suture skills with, look no more. Buy one of these. NOT JUNK.

Phenomenal price, similar feel as the OR
I've done about 200 threads so far, and the ratcheting of this needle driver is still intact as it was the first day I bought it. Phenomenal quality in comparison to the ones that come with a suture pad kit. Very similar to the OR, if the OR is a 10/10, this is an 8/10. You won't regret it for the price. Excellent build quality
