Product Description
Use this Froceps and Save a Lot of Time.
Uses:
- When inserting the metal ligatures on brackets, you spend a lot of time in wire twisting. If you have this forceps, it is the job of seconds.
- When tying the all anterior teeth with one criss-cross wire (0.010” thin wire) to retract back as one segment, (lace back technique) you waste a lot of time in wire twisting but if you have this forceps, you can do it in seconds.
- When you are making a fixed retainer: If you want to use the 0.010” wire to bond at the lingual surface of lower anterior teeth, use this forceps to twist two of these wire to give a shape of twistflex wire and use it as a fixed retainer.
Procedure:
- HOW TO USE IT: The Procedure is very simple.
- Hold the ends of the metal ligature or lace back wire with the tip, lock the forceps and insert your index finger in the third ring of the forceps and pull it back gently.
- Do not hold the other rings of the forceps while pulling it back. The whole forceps will rotate and the twists will be inserted in the wire in seconds. All the twists in the wire will take place in one go.
- Once it is done, unlock the forceps and cut the unwanted ends of the wire.
- We suggest to new users try it first on some orthodontic models to understand the trick. If you do not have the model you can learn it by engaging the laceback wire on the knob of your drawer.
